When Mary Lu started Customlightstyles Design and Fabrication in the year 2000, she was simply taking her family’s nearly century old lighting business to the next level. Originally known as DeBaun Lighting Company, Inc., she decided to set a new standard in design excellence, manufacturing and customer service. She wanted to maintain the strict business ethics that had allowed the family to work with the design trade and homeowners for nearly a century. Using her educational background in art, drafting, and design, she visualizes basic design elements through an artisans eye. By using this unique perspective, she translates dimensional designs into functioning architectural lighting, for homes and commercials projects, alike.
